1. Log into your Control Panel with the current username and password.  If you are a new customer, this information was  sent to you by email  in your Welcome Letter.  (If  you have forgotten your current control panel password, visit the Help Desk and request it.)

2. Click on the "Change Password" icon

3. Follow the instructions.  In order to change your password, you must enter your current password first, then type in your new password and enter it twice in the proper fields.

Make sure the new password is 6 to 8 alpha-numeric characters and it should not contain your username.

4. Here you also have the option to change your database password.

If you are using a database with your account  you should really consider changing this password also since your Control Panel password affects your ability to access your domain database installation from your Control Panel.
Choose the option you want, "Change my domain database password" to match the new Control Panel password, or  "Do not change my database password".

Note: If you have NetBuilder installed, when you change the database password it will also change your NetBuilder password.

5. Click Submit.  The confirmation pop-up will ask if you are sure, then click  OK to continue.

You'll see this message to let you know the password has been changed:

"Password change accepted.
The new password has been submitted and the change will take effect within the next 10 minutes
."

Bear in mind that the new password applies both to FTP access and control panel access.
